Job Title: Food & Beverage Service Intern

We have an urgent requirement for a Food & Beverage Service Intern to join our team at a 5 star deluxe hotel in the heart of Dubai. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be well-presented and possess a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

Guest Service: Provide excellent customer service to all guests, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or requests promptly and professionally.
Table Service: Set up tables for service, including arranging tableware, glassware, and cutlery. Take orders from guests and serve food and beverages accurately and efficiently.
Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and any special promotions or dietary considerations. Provide recommendations and answer any questions from guests regarding the menu.
Order Processing: Enter guest orders into the computer system accurately and transmit them to the kitchen or bar promptly. Ensure that orders are prepared and served in a timely manner.
Up-selling: Promote additional food and beverage items or upgrades to guests, increasing sales revenue while enhancing their dining experience. Make appropriate suggestions based on guest preferences and dietary requirements.
Payment Processing: Handle guest payments, including cash, credit cards, or electronic payment systems. Maintain accuracy in cash handling and ensure all transactions are recorded properly.
Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and well-organized dining area, including clearing and resetting tables, cleaning spills, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the restaurant or dining space.
Special Events and Functions: Assist in organizing and serving at special events, banquets, or private functions, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional guest experience.
Teamwork and Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including servers, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure effective communication and seamless service delivery.
Compliance with Policies and Regulations: Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and hygiene standards, as well as restaurant policies and procedures. Maintain a professional appearance and comply with uniform and grooming guidelines.

Knowledge of MS Office and hotel management software is a plus
